This project involved creating a complete landscape design for a newly constructed designer home in Eumundi, QLD. The clients sought a low-maintenance, native garden that seamlessly blended with the surrounding environment and provided a peaceful outdoor retreat.

The design focused on creating a harmonious blend of native plants and natural materials, emphasizing a relaxed, organic feel. Key elements included:

• Organic Entry: A natural stone pathway leads through native grasses and groundcovers to the front entry and stairs.

• Retaining Walls: Dry-stack stone retaining walls define the sloping lawn and create a sense of privacy.

• Firepit Area: A circular firepit surrounded by a dry-stack stone retaining wall provides a gathering space.

• Waterfront Features: A reclaimed hardwood jetty and a winding turfed path offer access to the dam.

• Native Planting: Mass plantings of lomandra and a feature corymbia tree create a vibrant and sustainable landscape.

• Integration with New Home: The design seamlessly blends with the modern architecture of the new home, using natural materials and native plants to create a harmonious transition.

• Slope Management: Dry-stack retaining walls were strategically placed to stabilize the sloping terrain and create distinct areas within the garden.

• Low Maintenance: The selection of native plants and grasses ensures a minimal maintenance requirement, allowing the clients to enjoy their outdoor space without constant upkeep.
